Apply for or renew parking permits
Brisbane City Council offers a range of accessible ways for eligible residents to apply for or renew a permit through the digital parking permit system.
Council has transitioned to a digital permit system where vehicle registrations area linked to permits. Residents are no longer required to display their permit.
You can renew or apply for a parking permit:
You may nominate up to three streets to appear on your permit. This may include your residential street and two others in close proximity to your street. Your permit will only be valid for use in the streets approved for your permit, in accordance with other parking permit conditions. If you apply for more than one permit, you will need to select the same streets for all your permits.
Payment for your parking permit is required at the time of application, however payment will not be processed until your application has been reviewed and approved. Find out about parking permit fees.
Once received, your application will be fully assessed within one business day. If eligible, your permit will be activated for immediate use.
You must complete the relevant application form and submit it via your chosen method with the required supporting documentation. Provide copies of your documentation (not originals), as Council cannot send documents back to you.
If further documentation is required, your permit will be activated pending further assessment. The Parking Permit team will contact you to request the relevant documents. If documents are not provided within seven days, your permit will be cancelled. If you wish to reapply, you will need to submit a new application.
