Greenslopes Parking Study

In response to community concerns about the high demand for on-street parking in the Greenslopes Parking Study Area, Brisbane City Council conducted a parking study in late 2021.

A comprehensive review based on 2021 parking occupancy surveys was completed to find an appropriate solution for the area. As a result, Council proposed the implementation of a Regulated Parking Permit Scheme with a three-hour parking time limit.

A community survey was conducted between Monday 8 August to Friday 2 September 2022 and residents, property owners and businesses were invited to provide feedback.

Under Council’s guidelines for the establishment of Regulated Parking Permit Schemes at least 60% of responses from residents and property owners must be in favour of the proposal for it to proceed to the next stages.

Feedback

Community feedback was collected via:

  • survey response
  • Council’s website
  • email
  • phone

Council received more than 1700 survey responses during the consultation period.

Study outcome

Following an evaluation of the feedback, Council would like to advise the proposal to implement a Regulated Parking Permit scheme with a three-hour parking time limit across the precinct did not receive support from residents and property owners and will not progress.

Council would like to thank you for your patience while the feedback was evaluated.
