In the month of May 2015, we acknowledged schools with the highest percentage of students walking to school. This coincides with Walk Safely to School Day which was held on 22 May. Brisbane Central State School achieved an average of 65%, while the legacy winner was Junction Park State School with an outstanding 70%.
Congratulations to both schools and all schools who worked hard this month to increase their walking numbers.
In June, the Golden Boot award will go to the school with the highest percentage of students travelling to school by public transport.
