With a focus on reliable travel times, the project will help you spend less time sitting in traffic and more time doing what you love.

Benefits of the project

Less time in traffic

Optimised key corridors will cut down travel time for all road users.

More reliable travel

Consistent and predictable travel times will improve reliability for all vehicles on key corridors.

Safer journeys

Data-driven intervention and improvement strategies will increase overall safety for all road users.

Engaging with suppliers

We're working with suppliers to develop the Brisbane's Smarter Suburban Corridors project.

Expressions of Interest - June 2025

We have released an Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Ariba network as part of our multi-stage formal procurement process for the Smarter Suburban Corridors project.

Potential suppliers need to pre-register through our procurement portal to respond to the EOI.

Suppliers shortlisted through the EOI may be invited to respond to a Request for Proposal as the next stage of the procurement process.

You can view current and upcoming tenders for further details of the available procurement activities.

Industry briefing - November 2024

In preparation to call for Expressions of Interest in 2025, we hosted an industry briefing in November 2024. The briefing provided updates on the project and the planned procurement process.

The industry briefing and market sounding process has now concluded and all further contact in relation to this project should be directed to the Tender Manager, smartercorridors@brisbane.qld.gov.au.

Suppliers are reminded not to contact any other employee of Council or elected officials regarding this project in the pre-procurement and procurement phases.
