Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols

**This event is booked out** Come along to the annual Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols at Riverstage, City Botanic Gardens on Saturday 5 December 2020.
The free carols event will host a variety of Australia's most renowned singers and entertainers as they ignite the big stage in this joyous and magical celebration of Christmas.
If you have secured a ticket to attend this year's carols event, please view the Conditions of Entry and venue information for Riverstage.
Entry will be through Gate 1 and Gate 2. Please refer to your ticket for gate details. All patrons must have their tickets ready to be scanned upon entry. Any patron without a valid ticket will not be permitted to enter the venue.
Please note that picnic blankets and lawn chairs will not be allowed this year. Due to COVID-19 regulations, all patrons will be allocated a specific seat. Alcohol will not be permitted to be brought into the event as there will be a bar on-site. There will also be no Overflow Area for the 2020 carols event.
Riverstage is an outdoor amphitheatre. If rain or bad weather occurs, the show will proceed, unless deemed unsafe to do so. Please check weather conditions on the day and dress appropriately. For cancellation announcements, visit Council's Facebook page or listen to 96.5FM.

If you miss out on securing a ticket to the Carols event, you can watch the live stream available on the Visit Brisbane website starting at 5pm.
Channel 9, this year's event partner will be filming the event for broadcast. Concert highlights will be televised on Saturday 19 December at 4pm and nationally on Friday 25 December at 6am.
The 2020 hosts
- Charli Robinson
Charli Robinson was an original member of the hugely successful kids' band Hi-5 and is one of Australia's best-loved personalities. She has appeared on numerous television shows including Network Ten's It's a Knockout, Seven Network's Spring Racing Carnival, as a regular presenter on 9 News Weather and as a finalist on the eighth season of Dancing with the Stars.
Charli is a guest presenter on 9Now's Getaway.
- Dane Lam
The young Australian-Chinese conductor, Dane Lam, Principal Conductor of China’s Xi’an Symphony Orchestra, enjoys a career spanning three continents. With a particularly close relationship with London’s Opera Holland Park, he is equally at home in the theatre as on the concert platform. Last season’s engagements included Dane’s debut with Opera Australia, conducting La bohème; a return to Opera Holland Park for a new production of L’arlesiana; his mainstage debut with Opera Queensland in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice; Carl Davis’s A Christmas Carol with Het Residentie Orkest and De Dutch Don’t Dance Division in The Hague; concerts with the Adelaide and Suzhou Symphony Orchestras and the Orchestra of Scottish Opera.
