Brisbane Greeter tours

Brisbane City Council is committed to offering Brisbane residents and visitors the opportunity to learn more about our city by providing free Brisbane Greeter tours.

After pausing the program in March 2020 due to coronavirus, the much-loved Brisbane Greeter program will restart in time for the upcoming holiday season. The greeter program will play a critical role in the city's economic recovery by helping to promote Brisbane and its many attractions.

Our greeters embody the warmth and friendliness that Brisbane is recognised for, and over the past eight years, have shared their passion for Brisbane with more than 80,000 people.

The health and safety of our greeters has and remains our key priority. The program will only return when it is safe for our volunteers to conduct greets within a COVID Safe environment.

The Brisbane Greeter program will continue to:

  • run free walking tours
  • volunteer at Council events and festivals
  • extend its reach into our thriving suburbs, as well as Brisbane City.

Brisbane Greeter tour bookings are planned to open in December.
