The Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) returns from Saturday 6 to Sunday 14 August 2022. Brisbane Showgrounds will host all your favourite displays, rides, farm animals, strawberry sundaes, and the popular EkkaNITES program of live entertainment and fireworks.

Experience Brisbane Metro

Brisbane City Council is proud to be a major supporter of Ekka 2022. This year, visitors will get the chance to get on board the first of its kind in Australia, battery electric pilot metro, a sneak-peek into Brisbane Metro — a new era of connected transport. Look out for our Brisbane Metro team who will be on-site to chat about the city-shaping project.

The pilot metro will be located on King Street, near the Gate 2 entrance.

Flower and Garden Precinct

Council is also proudly supporting Ekka's Flower and Garden Precinct. Head to the Agricultural Hall to have a wonderful time exploring the displays, enjoying the activities and learning something new about sustainability. Find out more about how Council is creating a clean and green city.
