Notice of Injury, Loss or Damage – compensation claim

From time to time, damage to either yourself or your property may arise from a circumstance that you believe was due to Council’s wrongdoing. In this instance, you can apply to seek compensation from Council.

Council utilises JLT Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (JLT) as an authorised third party liability claims manager to independently and objectively assess Council's liability to pay compensation when liability claims are made by members of the public. Please be aware that the mere occurrence of an incident does not equate to an automatic liability to pay compensation.  Each matter is assessed on its own merit.

You can submit the Notice of Injury, Loss or Damage form online. This form will be processed by JLT and contains important information about the details that will be required for your claim to be effectively and efficiently assessed by JLT.
