Remediation works at James Warner Park are underway and we’ll be starting work in C.T. White Park from early September 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.
If you live in or travel through the area, you may notice:
- temporary closures of parts of the parks while works are happening in those areas
- increased construction activity and noise during work hours
- temporary closures of Council car parks on Annie Street, Hamilton Street and at the Brisbane Jazz Club
- temporary narrowing of the Kangaroo Point Bikeway near the dog park.
The dog park is currently expected to remain closed until December. We'll let you know a more specific reopening date as works progress. The reopening date will depend on weather and site conditions.
Sections of the bikeway in the park may close at times during the early stages of work. The footpath on the western side of Hamilton Street may also close at times. These closures will occur during the early stages of work in C.T. White Park.
When closed, a detour will be in place on the eastern side of Hamilton Street. There will also be some intermittent closures of Hamilton Street, but the detour for pedestrians and cyclists will remain accessible. See our latest works notice for more information.
