We’re planning upgrades to improve walking and riding along Shafston Avenue. The upgrades run from Deakin Street in Kangaroo Point to Mowbray Park in East Brisbane.

This project aims to upgrade a 1.2‑kilometre section of Shafston Avenue between Deakin Street and Mowbray Park. The upgrades will improve connections between the eastern suburbs and the CBD via the Kangaroo Point Bridge.

We’ve been working hard on design and have undertaken additional investigations onsite to make sure it is robust and well-informed. We’re working towards sharing more specific bikeway design details with the community in the coming months.
