There is an app for that!

One of Australia’s best public United States Golf Association (USGA) rated golf courses has implemented a revolutionary maintenance system – increasing efficiency and implementing sustainable watering practices.

Victoria Park Golf Course now uses a system called POGO Turf Pro. WiFi and GPS enabled, a sensor connects with an app to analyse data and provide insight into maintenance.

By analysing moisture, salinity and canopy temperatures, the app can provide instant analysis on the samples and subsequently pinpoint the areas via GPS which need water or fertiliser.

This system will replace multiple pieces of equipment and manual processes and provide real efficiencies for Council as it informs precise decision making, while also increasing efficiency and optimise Council’s use of water, fertiliser and maintenance practices at Victoria Park Golf Course.

Further benefits also include improving turf health and condition, root growth and soil conditions, irrigation distribution, and ultimately, performance. All while providing residents with some of the best turf at Brisbane’s leading public golf course.
