Impacts to Council bus services and traffic conditions due to a planned protest
Temporary road closures and bus services impacts will be in place from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday 24 August in Brisbane City, due to a planned protest.
From 1.45pm to 4pm on Sunday 24 August, the following road closures will be in place at various times:
- George Street
- Adelaide Steet
- North Quay
- Victoria Bridge
- Elizabeth Street, in addition to the Elizabeth Street on-ramp
- William Street from Victoria Bridge
- Grey Street
- Glenelg Street
- Merivale Street at Melbourne Street
Additional streets may be closed to ensure community safety is maintained.
Police and traffic controllers will be in place to assist motorists, buses and pedestrians.
Between 12pm to 4pm on Sunday 24 August, the following bus services are expected to experience varying levels of impact.
Where possible, services will be re-routed.
- Inbound and outbound services: 60, 196, 199
- 197 Loop
- Inbound and outbound services: 100, 120, 130, 140, 150, 180 and 200.
- RM1, RM2 and 61 services.
- Outbound 340 service.
- Inbound and outbound 300, 333, 444 services.
- Inbound and outbound 301, 306, 309, 320, 322 services.
- Inbound and outbound 330, 345, 385 services.
- Inbound and outbound 107, 210, 212, 215, 220, 230, 235 services.
