Planned Burn Changing Mountain Bushlands
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Changing Mountain Bushlands, between Stumers Road and Lake Manchester Road, Kholo, on Thursday 28 August, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight.
Tracks around the burn area may be closed for up to 2 weeks following the burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.
Staff will also be on site on Friday to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
