Planned Burn Remick Street Reserve
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Remick Street Reserve, between Rode Road and Downfall Creek, Stafford Heights, on Sunday 17 August, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
Smoke will be visible from Rode Road, Hamilton Road, Maundrell Terrace and Appleby Road.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight.
Tracks around the burn area will be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
