The planned burn scheduled to take place at Anstead Bushland, Anstead on Thursday 13 August 2026 has been postponed.
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Anstead Bushland, Anstead Thursday 13 August 2026, weather permitting.
This burn will commence at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
This burn is located in Anstead Bushland Reserve between Hawkesbury Road and the Brisbane River.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight.
Tracks in the vicinity of the burn area may be closed for up to two weeks post burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn and the following day to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
