Planned Burn Mt Coot-tha Forest
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Mt Coot-tha Forest, between Gap Creek Road and Boscombe Road, on Wednesday 16 July, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
The Curlew Circuit Trail, Goanna Trail, Ironbark Trail and Gillian's Mountain Bike Circuit will be closed during the burn and for up to two weeks after the burn.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding suburbs overnight. Smoke may also impact Sir Samuel Griffith Drive.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
