Planned Burn Mt Coot-tha Forest

A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Mt Coot-tha Forest, between Paten Road, Quarry Trail, Reservoir Access Trail and the Bardon Trail, Mt Coot-tha on Thursday 19 June, weather permitting.

4:03pm Wednesday 18 June 2025

The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.

Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight.

The Reservoir Access Trail, Bardon Trail, Maculata Track and Kulgan Circuit will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to two weeks following the burn.

Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.

Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
