Planned Burn Third Lagoon Reserve, Brighton
A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Third Lagoon Reserve, between Deagon Deviation, Bracken Ridge Road and Douglas Street, Brighton, on Saturday 14 June, weather permitting.
The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.
Smoke will be visible from the Gateway Motorway and surrounding streets.
Smoke may impact local residences and settle in the surrounding areas of Brighton and Sandgate overnight.
Tracks around the burn area will be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.
Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.
Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
