Planned Burn Toohey Forest, Nathan

A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Toohey Forest between Toohey Ridge Track and behind residences on Edgehill Street and Bankside Street, Nathan, on Saturday 6 June, weather permitting.

The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.

Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding suburbs overnight.

The Hibbertia Track, Dellwood Track, Nathan Ridge Track, and Wilcox Track will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.

Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.

Staff will also be on site on Sunday to ensure the safety of the area.

Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
