Planned Burn Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve

A planned burn is scheduled to take place at Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve, between Mt Gravatt Outlook Drive and the Goodenia Track, Mount Gravatt, on Tuesday 9 September, weather permitting.

The burn will start at approximately 10am and continue into the early evening.

Smoke will be visible from the Southeast Freeway, Logan Road and surrounding areas. Smoke may impact local residences and settle in surrounding areas overnight.

Mount Gravatt Outlook Drive and the Summit viewing area will be closed for the duration of the burn. Traffic control will be in place at Gertrude Petty Place.

The Goodenia Track, New Link Track behind Verbena Street and Summit Track will be closed during the burn and may be closed for up to two weeks after the burn.

Brisbane City Council staff will be on site for the duration of the planned burn to ensure the safety of the area.

Staff will also be on site on Wednesday to ensure the safety of the area.

Council planned burns are conducted in a manner sensitive to the welfare of wildlife in the area and are conducted only in suitable weather conditions.
