Whether you're a family business or a growing enterprise, support to start, grow and thrive doesn't need to be costly.

Council has tools, resources and services made for Brisbane business owners. They provide support and inspiration to run a business, find opportunities to grow, and kickstart new ideas.

Suburban Business Hub

Save money and learn something new at our free business workshops. Our Suburban Business Hub in Nundah holds a range of free Wednesday workshops and activities to help grow Brisbane businesses. Topics include artificial Intelligence (AI), social media, marketing and mentoring and more.

The hub doubles as a free co-working space for Brisbane businesses every weekday except Wednesdays. Come by between 9am and 4pm or reserve a table.

Enjoy co-working with fellow business owners and make the most of the free Wi-Fi and kitchenette. We're within walking distance of the Nundah retail area and Sandgate Road.

Libraries

If Wednesday is your co-working day, or you need somewhere closer to home than Nundah, our 33 libraries can help. All our libraries offer free Wi-Fi, making working remotely or between appointments a breeze.

You can also hire a meeting room for just $36.35 an hour for a Category 1 room. It comes with a data projector, television and kitchenette.

Your free library membership gives you access to many online resources and databases. These can help you with research, reading the news, or learning new skills with LinkedIn Learning.

Community halls

Choose from 26 community halls across the city to host business events, such as meetings, workshops and networking events.

Our halls range in size, with some able to hold more than 100 people.

Depending on the event you want to host, commercial hire rates for community halls start from $36.35 an hour.

Business networks

Find connection and community by joining a Brisbane business network. We support many not-for-profit Brisbane business networks where you can meet other Brisbane business owners.

With regular meetings, you can:

  • stay up to date about business grants and opportunities

  • find like-minded collaborators.

You can also connect with other business owners in our Business in Brisbane Facebook group.
