Discover the benefits of joining a Brisbane business network and locate a suitable network near you.

Business networks provide a valuable point of connection and sense of community for business owners.

Benefits of joining a business network

Formal business networks have a structured business plan, host regular meetings with members and provide member updates about events and opportunities.

Being part of a business network can help you:

  • connect with other businesses by attending meetings, events and workshops
  • keep informed about business grants and opportunities
  • raise your business profile and boost referrals
  • gain new ideas and fresh inspiration
  • collaborate and work towards a shared purpose
  • work together to achieve more.

Find a Brisbane business network near you

Council is committed to supporting and promoting not-for-profit business networks. We regularly connect with 20 not-for-profit Brisbane business networks. Some drive continuous improvement of a local retail precinct, while others have broader catchments and goals.

These business networks represent local retail precincts and actively work to promote and activate their area.

Want to establish a local business group?

If you're interested in forming a local business group in your retail precinct, the 'Importance of collaboration' module in the Local retail and activation toolkit provides practical advice and templates to get you started.

On-demand workshops for business networks

As part of Council's support for these business networks, we offered to fund one on-demand workshop in 2024-25 for each network. Applications have now closed.
