Brisbane’s inner city is easy to explore at night. CityCats run every 15–30 minutes, with later weekend services. Well-lit paths and lively areas are close together. This makes it easy to enjoy several experiences in one evening.
1. Light up your world

2. Relax on the river
Cruise the Brisbane River under the stars on a CityCat. Make a stop at the dining precincts of South Bank, Eagle Street (Riverside), Racecourse Road (Brett's Wharf), or New Farm. Hop on a double-decker CityCat to get that bit closer to the night sky on the upper deck.
3. Get lost in a laneway
Stroll down the city's hip laneways to find hidden delights. Popular laneways include Burnett Lane in Brisbane City, Fish Lane in South Brisbane, and Winn Lane in Fortitude Valley.

To view the city by night from a different vantage point, try Mount Gravatt Outlook Reserve. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs also have wonderful vantage points to view the City Reach under the moonlight.
7. Shop under the stars
Wander through the stalls at The Collective Markets, South Bank. The markets run weekly on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday.

8. Feast at Eat Street
Take a trip around the world exploring different flavours and cuisines at Eat Street Northshore. Built from 180 repurposed recycled shipping containers, Eat Street has lights, live music and atmosphere aplenty.

Take a dip at Streets Beach in South Bank Parklands, right on the edge of the Brisbane River. Streets Beach is Australia's only man-made beach and a must-visit in Brisbane.
10. See a movie under the stars
Check out Brisbane's permanent outdoor cinema – Dendy Powerhouse Outdoor Cinema. It operates year-round with a program of films from Thursday to Sunday evenings.
11. Walking Wynnum Esplanade
Take an evening walk along Wynnum Esplanade, watch the sunset, then enjoy a free open-air movie at Little Bayside Park. Movies screen at dusk on the first Saturday of each month, offering a relaxed, family-friendly evening by the bay.
