Community immunisation clinics
Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting people against harmful diseases in the community. Brisbane City Council provides a free immunisation service to eligible residents through our community immunisation clinics.
Vaccination programs
National Immunisation Program (NIP)
Council offers all NIP vaccinations to eligible residents. Check the National Immunisation Program Schedule for eligibility and advice about when you should be vaccinated.
Queensland Paediatric Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Prevention Program
The RSV vaccination will be available to eligible residents at Council clinics from Monday 6 May. For eligibility, check the Queensland Health website.
The dosage for this vaccine is weight dependent, therefore all clients must have their child weighed 7 days prior to presenting for this vaccination, and have this weight clearly documented in the child’s Personal Health Record (PHR).
Parents who present without the child’s weight documented in the PHR within the last 7 days will be asked to rebook at a later date once they have had their child weighed.
Council is not able to provide this vaccine in conjunction with other vaccines. If your child requires additional vaccinations, ensure you book a separate appointment on an alternate date.
Queensland MenB Vaccination Program
The Bexsero vaccine is now available at Council clinics for free to eligible residents. For eligibility, check the Queensland Health website.
2024 Free Flu Vaccination Program
Funded by the Queensland Government, the influenza vaccine is now available at Council clinics and is free for all Queensland residents aged 6 months and over.

Immunisation records

If you (or your child) are overdue for immunisations, or from overseas and need a catch-up plan done, send a scanned copy of your records to immunisation@brisbane.qld.gov.au. In the email, include your (or your child's) full name, date of birth, address, and Medicare number (if relevant). A member of our Immunisation team will contact you via email following a review of your records.
COVID-19 vaccinations
Council's clinics do not administer the COVID-19 vaccine. Visit the Queensland Health website for information on how you can book a COVID-19 vaccine.
