Enjoy the display 'The Wetlands', by local artist Paper Hands, at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre as part of the Community Art Wall.
Paper Hands (Holly Nielson) is a Brisbane-based illustrator. She finds that "… art is a way for me to communicate, reflect and dance with this weird and wonderful life. My artwork is often exploring the power of regeneration, through the connection of nature and the individual."
'The Wetlands' was inspired by the natural beauty of the Boondall Wetlands, a unique and significant nature reserve which encapsulates more than 1000 hectares of tidal flats, mangroves, saltmarsh, hypersaline and grassland flats, casuarinas, melaleuca, eucalypt and rainforest plants.
This ongoing display can be viewed from May to September:
- Tuesday to Friday, 9am-4pm
- Saturday and Sunday, 9am-12pm.
