Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre

The Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre is the gateway to the greater Mt Coot-tha precinct. Set in the beautiful Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, the centre includes information on the botanic gardens and its attractions, and Mt Coot-tha Reserve's walking and biking trails, and picnic areas.

The information centre opened in September 2017 as part of a significant upgrade to Council’s facilities on Mt Coot-tha including new picnic areas and facilities, an extension of the botanic gardens and new connecting trails.

Opening hours

The Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre is open every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) from 9am-4pm. On Anzac Day, the centre is open from 1.30-4pm.

The Visitor Information Centre will be open 12.30-4pm on Sunday 14 April 2024.

Access to the gardens (via pedestrian entrances) remains open to the public 365 days per year from 8am-6pm in summer (September to March) and 8am-5pm in winter (April to August).
