Apply to hold an event or activity in a Council park. Check what information you need to provide.
When to submit a park booking application
You must apply to book a park site for exclusive use of the space for a private event.
This includes:
- weddings
- birthday parties
- community events
- corporate events
- fun runs
- research activities.
For commercial events that involve a fee or promote a business, you need to apply for consent to carry out a commercial activity in a park.
Provide information about your event, including the:
- type of event you’re applying for
- name of the event
- number of people expected to attend.
You must provide the following information:
- the park and site where you would like to hold the event
- the proposed event date and times (including bump-in and bump-out)
- information about any temporary structures or equipment you’re planning to bring into the park (e.g. jumping castle, stage, marquees, audio equipment)
- details about activities that may require approval (e.g. selling food, coffee vans, operating a drone, fundraising, sale of alcohol)
- whether electricity or vehicle access is required
- aerial site map showing the area of the activity and the location of the equipment/structures.
