Cancel your dog registration using the online form. Provide registration and owner details.

When to cancel a registration

You can cancel a dog's registration if your dog:

  • has passed away
  • is no longer living in the Brisbane local government area
  • has been surrendered.

Note

  • You may be entitled to a refund for registration fees already paid.
  • Cancellation of a registration for an assistance dog (including guide dog), or for a declared dangerous or menacing dog, cannot be processed using this form.

What you need to provide
1 Registration details

You must provide the:

  • registration reference
  • dog’s name
  • reason for cancellation.
2 Owner details

Provide your contact details, such as:

  • name
  • phone number
  • email address.

Frequently asked questions
