Inner City Framework

Brisbane’s inner city is changing rapidly. Suburbs in the five kilometres surrounding the inner city are evolving into a network of villages that house a growing number of workers and residents. Beyond the employment and business opportunities, more lifestyle opportunities and improved infrastructure will make it easier to move around and enjoy what our city has to offer.

The Inner City Framework is a key Brisbane City Council planning strategy that will harness the momentum and legacy of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This overarching framework for the inner city will set high-level strategic directions that will guide infrastructure delivery, precinct planning and outline a unified vision for the local community into the future.

Brisbane City Council acknowledges this Country and its Traditional Custodians. We pay our respects to the Elders, those who have passed into the dreaming; those here today; those of tomorrow.
