Victoria Park / Barrambin projects

Brisbane City Council is progressing exciting projects to create more to see and do at Victoria Park / Barrambin. The projects include park furniture and shelters, as well as a new space for outdoor activities, an adventure playground and an urban pump track.

    Adventure playground

    expected delivery 2025

    Expressions of Interest are open for the design and construction of the adventure playground at Victoria Park / Barrambin. The playground will be a nature-based destination playground that shares stories of Country – of the seasons, animals, plants and more.  It will be an inclusive space and accessible playground for people of all abilities.     Park furniture and shelters


    Works are underway to install new park benches, picnic tables, barbeques, drinking fountains, bike racks and shelters throughout the park.

    Works to occur between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday from mid-September 2022, weather and site conditions permitting.

    The park will remain open for use with work areas fenced off for safety.

    Park users can expect:

    • increased noise from time to time
    • increased truck movements around the park
    • some vibration and dust.

      Spring Hill Common

      expected delivery late 2023

      Spring Hill Common will provide the local community with a relaxed parkland setting and lifestyle destination in Brisbane's inner city. The area will feature tiered stepped seating and a flat outdoor space for active and healthy activities, community gatherings and picnicking. 

      Urban pump track

      expected delivery mid-2024

      The urban pump track is designed to take advantage of the park’s natural topography and offer a track for beginner and intermediate riders. It will include small skateable features, along with picnic shelters and seating making it a new destination for families in the inner city. A development application has been lodged for the urban pump track. This development application is an exciting milestone in the process of constructing the urban pump track in the park.
