Lord Mayor's Photographic Awards 2026

The Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards is an annual competition open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Brisbane.

This year entrants were asked to capture the theme, Everyday Brisbane, through images that reflect genuine moments, people and places that define the city’s character. From hardworking locals to iconic river views and familiar streetscapes, the theme celebrated the beauty of everyday life in Brisbane.

2026 winners

The Lord Mayor is pleased to announce the winners of the Lord Mayor's Photographic Awards 2026.

You can view the winning images up close at the Museum of Brisbane, Level 3, Brisbane City Hall. The exhibition is on display until Sunday 1 November 2026.

Take home a beautiful snapshot of this year’s Brisbane Postcards Collection winners, now available as postcards for $4 each at Museum of Brisbane.

Introduced as a new category in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards, photographers were invited to capture Brisbane’s charm, energy and unique character in images that inspire people to visit the city.

The three winning photographs celebrate the places, moments and experiences locals know and love, showcasing scenes that feel unmistakably Brisbane.

Beautifully reproduced as postcards, these striking images are the perfect way to share a piece of our River City with friends and family around the world.
