Work zone

Some areas of Brisbane have restricted space for the construction of new buildings and facilities. A work zone is a designated section of road used for the purpose of loading and unloading equipment at a construction site. It is also known as a construction loading zone.

Work zones are signed by Brisbane City Council, and enable the space to be used exclusively by the company during the allocated times.

Work zones do not allow the applicant to park vehicles in the designated area for purposes other than loading and unloading equipment. Any offending vehicle can be issued with a fine.

For more information on how to apply for a construction work zone permit, phone Council's Business Hotline on 133 BNE (133 263).
