Book your bike and scooter skills sessions

While many children want to cycle or scooter to school in Brisbane, only around 3% do. The Active School Travel (AST) program aims to get more students riding to schools with the skills, confidence and experience to ride safely.

AST schools in the first year of the program can access free bike and scooter skills training sessions. The 90-minute bike skills and 60-minute scooter skills sessions are conducted by qualified coaches and teach students essential safe riding skills such as braking, steering control, signalling, road crossing and footpath etiquette. Offered as an incursion, sessions are conducted in school time, on school grounds.
