Archerfield Road, Azalea Street intersection upgrade - Inala
We’re upgrading the Archerfield Road, Azalea Street and Pine Road intersection to help you get home sooner and safer.
Construction on the Archerfield Road, Azalea Street and Pine Road intersection upgrade commenced in October 2026, ahead of schedule.
This important upgrade will improve safety for all road users. It will also improve accessibility and connectivity. The upgrade will benefit people travelling through the growing Inala and Richlands communities.
This upgrade will improve one of the area's busiest intersections.
We are upgrading the intersection with new traffic lights, dedicated turning lanes, and safer pedestrian crossings and improved connections. This project will make the intersection safer and more predictable. It will create better and more accessible pathways for people who walk, ride or drive.
