Council will be seeking proposals from suppliers to establish a Corporate Procurement Arrangement (Panel) for Bushfire Hazard Reduction. Council has some internal capacity for hazard reduction burns. Establishing a panel will enable Council to maximize the number of burns that can be delivered when conditions are favourable. This service requires the panel participants to:
•    provide qualified and experienced bushfire management crews and specified bushfire management equipment to assist Council teams with the delivery of specific planned burns
•    to undertake patrolling, mopping up/blacking out activities on specified sites after Council has implemented a planned burn and ignition is complete or near complete.

Trade and building maintenance services are used to maintain Council buildings and other assets via scheduled and reactive work. These services supplement the internal Trade Services team.

The tender will include the following categories of trade and building maintenance services:

511134 Fire Safety Services

Council is seeking a competent and capable contractor to deliver and manage fire compliance across all of Council’s assets, and to ensure the safety of its staff and visitors, as well as the protection of the property assets.

Council also needs the contractor to assist Council in complying with Australian Standard AS3745-2010. 

The required services cover fire audits, evacuation documentation, training, and fire safety and advisory services, for Council occupied buildings.
