Council requires the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of transport and drainage infrastructure across Brisbane. The arrangement is divided into the following segments.

Segment 1: Road and Bridge Construction and Rehabilitation – Major

  • 1A – Road construction and upgrades
  • 1B – Vehicular bridge construction

Segment 2: Bikeway Construction, Programs of Works and Environmental Work – Major

  • 2A – Major bikeway and footpath construction
  • 2B – Civil work involving significant environmental management or ground decontamination
  • 2C – Programs of minor civil projects
  • 2D – Bridge and major culvert construction

Office Supplies including Toiletry Papers

Council has a requirement for office supplies and toiletry papers for all sites across Brisbane. Some Council sites, (including Brisbane Square and Green Square, some libraries and depots) have general office supplies stored in cabinets owned, managed and re-stocked fortnightly by the contractor. Council currently has 27 cabinets holding consignment stock. Smaller sites order stationery using the contactors’ online portal which has Council’s specified preferred products and prices.

Toiletry papers are generally ordered by and held in Council’s central warehouse.

Cleaning Services Council Sites

Council currently has 150+ sites around Brisbane including Brisbane Square, Green Square, depots, ward offices, libraries, halls and bus interchanges, that require cleaning services. These sites are cleaned on a schedule basis (e.g. daily, weekly, in some cases on weekends), with additional periodical scheduled work.

Closed and awarded tenders

Council publicly advertises tenders that have been released to the market and passed the final submission date (close date). These tenders are currently being evaluated by Council.

Once a contract is signed with the preferred supplier, the tender becomes awarded. This is the end of the tendering process.

A pre-qualified register is used to identify suppliers who can deliver projects based on the project size, type, location and the supplier's capabilities.

Registers are open at different times. Make sure to check that the register you want to join is currently accepting submissions.

The tender process can vary in duration depending on the project. After a submission period closes, Council assesses tenders as fast as possible with a successful bidder notified as soon as a decision is finalised.
