Street tree maintenance programs

Brisbane City Council runs routine and specialised tree maintenance programs in Brisbane suburbs throughout the year.

The street tree maintenance programs ensure:

  • establishment of strong, healthy new trees
  • clearance for pedestrians and vehicles
  • visibility for pedestrian and vehicle safety
  • the removal of dead and diseased branches
  • special care for significant trees such as heritage trees and protected vegetation
  • removal and replacement of unsafe trees
  • attractive and shaded streets
