UPDATE: Masks at Council facilities and services

Following the State Government's announcement to ease some restrictions in Greater Brisbane from 4pm Friday 20 August, masks will remain mandatory at indoor Brisbane City Council facilities, services and events, in line with Queensland Health advice.    

The maximum number of visitors permitted continue to vary according to each venue’s size, layout and social distancing capacity, in line with Queensland Health guidelines.

Please note:  

  • Waste services, including kerbside collection, residential bin collections, bin repairs and replacements continue as normal
  • Funeral services at Council facilities continue to be limited as per Queensland Government guidelines 
  • Public Transport (including Council Cabs and Personalised Public Transport) continue to operate with existing social distancing measures in place. Passengers and drivers must wear masks.  
  • Council car parks are operating as normal.
