Brisbane City Council wishes to advise that following the State Government's announcement to ease restrictions in the Brisbane LGA from 4pm Friday 8 October, visitors will be required to wear a mask while indoors at Council facilities, services and events, but will be able to remove their mask while seated, in line with Queensland Health guidelines.
The maximum number of visitors permitted will increase in line with Queensland Health’s return to stage three restrictions, but will vary according to each venue’s size, layout and social distancing capacity.

- Waste services, including kerbside collection, residential bin collections, bin repairs and replacements continue as normal.
- The number of guests permitted at funeral services will vary according to each venue’s size, layout and social distancing capacity, in line with Queensland Government guidelines.
- Public Transport (including Council Cabs and Personalised Public Transport) continues to operate with existing social distancing measures in place. Passengers and drivers must wear masks at all times.
- Council car parks are operating as normal, however masks are mandatory when outside vehicles.
