Discover the magic of Christmas at the Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols on Saturday 5 December.

The Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols provides an evening of festive, world-class entertainment featuring some of Australia's most talented performers.

Held annually, the carols are hosted in Brisbane at Riverstage and streamed live to Roma Street Parkland to allow more people to enjoy the spectacular event.

The Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols proudly supports the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of music, entertainment and Christmas cheer, featuring an incredible line-up of artists across soul, rock, pop, country and jazz, alongside all the Christmas favourites you know and love.

With dazzling performances, talented dancers, comedy, colour and plenty of surprises, the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols 2026 will be a joyful celebration made for families, made for Brisbane and made for everyone watching across Australia.

Simultaneous livestream at Roma Street Parkland

The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will be live streamed from Riverstage into Roma Street Parkland, allowing more visitors to share in the magic of this event.

Purchase a selection of sweet and savoury snacks from food trucks or pack a picnic basket and blanket and round up your family and friends for a night of Christmas singing and celebration under a starry Brisbane summer sky.

  1. This is an alcohol-free event. No alcohol is permitted onsite.

  2. The Enchanted Garden event will be taking place at the same time in Roma Street Parkland and areas are sectioned off for this event. While the food precinct on the Celebration Lawn will be open to all visitors, The Enchanted Garden route will only be opened for ticketed guests of that event.

  3. Traffic in and around Roma Street Parkland may be busier than usual. Plan your travel in advance and allow extra travel time.

This event contains fireworks (bright lights/colours, sudden loud sounds), swirling and flashing light displays (no strobe) and loud music.

Entry to this event will be via Gates 1 and 2.

You must have your tickets ready to be scanned on entry. If you do not have a valid ticket, you will not be permitted to enter Riverstage.

Water

Water refill stations will be provided on site. Bring an empty reusable bottle (no glass).

Bar

A licensed bar will be available onsite. No alcohol can be brought into the venue and any alcohol will be confiscated upon entry by security.

Food vendors

A variety of food will be available to purchase at the event. We encourage contactless payment where possible.

BYO food
  • You are not permitted to bring commercial food or drinks or hot food into the venue. However, homemade food, small, soft packaged, non-commercial snacks, sealed bottled water and sealed non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles are permitted for this event.
  • Food bags must not be larger than an A4 size of paper. No eskies, hard case packaging or large food storage containers are permitted into the venue.
  • Security reserve the right to refuse entry with food that does not meet the above conditions. Please note: no knives or metal cutlery are permitted into the venue. 

Permitted foods include:

  • pre-packaged, non-commercial sandwiches, rolls or wraps
  • chips, biscuits, crackers in soft packaging (no bigger than an A4 piece of paper)
  • fruit, cheese, deli meats, crackers.

We are committed to making the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols an enjoyable event for everyone. 

Mobile and physical accessibility
  • Wheelchair access for this event is through Gate 2.
  • An accessible viewing area is located on a platform at the top of the hill, looking down on the stage (side viewing) and is available for those with limited mobility.
  • For accessible seating and or Companion Card tickets please select accessible ticketing options on Ticketmaster’s website or by phoning Ticketmaster’s Accessible Line on 1300 446 925.
  • Council honours the Queensland Government Companion Card,  allowing free entry to Riverstage to anyone accompanying a person with a disability who requires attendant care support.
  • There is no parking available on site. You can use Council’s maps to find nearby on-street disability parking and passenger loading zones.
  • If you have accessibility requirements and need to be dropped off close to the gate entry,  allow extra time when using Gardens Point Road passenger drop-off and pick-up points due to expected heavy traffic.

    Deaf and hard of hearing accessibility

    The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will be Auslan interpreted, with song lyrics also displayed on-screen throughout the event.

    A dedicated Auslan Area is available for members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community, along with their families and companions. This area provides a premium view of the stage and allows community members to enjoy the event together in a shared space.

    To book tickets in this area, select the Auslan Area ticket type when purchasing through Ticketmaster. If you wish to sit together as a group, all tickets purchased must be Auslan Area tickets. Entry to this area is restricted to patrons holding an Auslan Area ticket.

    Blind and low vision accessibility

    The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will be audio described with prior booking of this service. To do this:

    Roma Street Parkland

    Roma Street Parkland features a natural amphitheatre with tiered seating, providing great views for everyone.

    If you plan to bring your own chair, we'd ask you to be mindful of sightlines so all visitors can enjoy the experience.

    How to get there

    Entry to the event is via the Wickham Terrace at Roma Street Parkland. The Amphitheatre is accessible via paved paths, though some areas include gentle slopes.

    You're encouraged to travel to this event by walking, cycling, or public transport.

    Roma Street Parkland is just a short walk from Roma Street Station, serviced by trains and buses from across Brisbane.

    Nearby bus stops also provide easy connections from around the city.

    Parking at Roma Street Parkland is limited.

    On-site parking is available off College Close, with additional metered spaces and disabled bays throughout the park.

    King George Square Car Park and Wickham Terrace Car Park are nearby car park alternatives.

    If walking longer distances is difficult, organise to be dropped off:

    • along Wickham Terrace
    • near The Garden Room
    • near Celebration Vista.

    The nearest taxi rank is at the Brisbane Coach Terminal.

    Drivers can also drop off and pick up passengers on Parkland Boulevard, accessible via Wickham Terrace or Roma Street.

    Use the Normanby Cycleway Link to ride all the way along Parkland Boulevard and then out onto Roma Street.

    Once you’re in the Parkland, all pathways and roads are shared with pedestrians. Use caution when cycling.
