Request new or larger bins online. You can order bins for a newly built home or a larger recycling bin for an existing home.
When to request new bins or a larger bin
1. Your house is newly built
The property owner can request new bins (red, yellow and green) for a newly built residential property that has:
- a rate account number
- people living in the home
- the house number clearly displayed.
2. You need a larger recycling bin for an existing house
The property owner can request a larger yellow bin for a house.
Choose if you would like to:
- order new bins for a newly built residential property, or
- increase your recycling bin capacity.
You'll need to provide the:
- rate account number
- property address (street, suburb and postcode).
You must provide your contact details:
- name
- phone number
- email address.
Frequently asked questions
Larger red bins are not available. You can order an additional red bin at an extra cost by contacting Council.
All eligible properties received a green bin as part of Council's service expansion which concluded in December 2025. Learn more about our green waste recycling service and eligibility.
If your green bin has gone missing or needs a repair, you can lodge a request.
You can order a second green bin for a house by contacting Council.
Representatives of townhouse or unit complexes can request additional bins for a townhouse or unit complex.
We will then assess the requirements for additional bins.
