Right to Information application
Apply to access Council information under the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009.
When to submit a Right to Information application
You can request a Right to Information to access Council information for documents:
- on behalf of someone else
- that contain your personal information
- that are not already accessible via the publication scheme or disclosure log.
You can also request CCTV footage if you are not a government agency.
What you need to provide
Applicant details
You must provide your contact details, such as:
- name
- business name (if relevant)
- phone number
- email address
- postal address.
Application details
Provide details about your request, such as:
- if you are accessing the information on behalf of someone else
- the reason for your application
- what information you are seeking
- the types of documents you are seeking
- the date range you would like searched
- document reference numbers or locations
- preferred access type
- any additional information to support your request.
You must also supply a certified evidence of identity.
Payment details (if required)
You may need a credit or debit card to pay for the application.
