About applying for a temporary food stall licence
A temporary food stall is a non-permanent set-up where you prepare, handle or sell unpackaged food at markets, festivals, fetes or other events.
Apply for a new temporary food stall licence online.
You can also use the online form to amend an existing yearly food stall licence.
What you need to provide
Licence details
You must provide:
- what you’re applying for (e.g. a one-off event, annual licence, amendment to an annual licence)
- the category of the food stall you plan to operate (e.g. high risk, low risk)
- a description of the food processing type
- an existing licence number (if applicable).
Business information
Supply the following details about the business:
- where you plan to operate, including the size of the market stall
- the licence period you’re applying for
- information about food preparation and storage, including whether any food is stored or prepared at another location.
Applicant details
You need to provide:
- contact details such as a name, phone number and email address
- your preferred language
- the number of people currently employed by the business
- any supporting documents.
Attachments
You may need to attach:
- plan of proposed layout of the stall. Refer to the FSANZ Temporary Food Premises for an example layout.
- certificate of incorporation (if applicable)
- letter of authority that verifies the person applying for the application is an authorised signatory for the corporation (if applicable)
- plan of proposed food storage area, if food is stored at another location.
Payment details
You will need a credit or debit card to pay for the licence.
