Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre
The Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre is the gateway to the greater Mt Coot-tha precinct. Set in the beautiful Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha, here you will find information on the botanic gardens and its attractions, and access to the mountains walking and biking trails and picnic areas.
Volunteers are on hand daily to offer information and free guided walks in the gardens.
The information centre opened in September 2017 as part of a significant upgrade to Council’s facilities on Mt Coot-tha including new picnic areas and facilities, an extension of the botanic gardens, new connecting trails and a future zip line attraction.
The information centre is open every day of the year (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday) from 8am-6pm in summer (September-March) and 8am-5pm in winter (April-August).
On Anzac Day, the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre will be open from 1.30-5pm.
The information centre features informative displays, touchscreen information panel and a video on all aspects of the larger Mt Coot-tha precinct.
Copies of the botanic gardens and Mt Coot-tha Forest track maps are also available for you to pick up before you head off on your adventure.
You can also download or view a copy of the Mt Coot-tha Forest track maps.
Volunteer guides are available to help you with information, get oriented or to plan your day on Mt Coot-tha.
Guided walks of the botanic gardens leave from the information centre. Visit Guided walks to find out more about scheduled guided walks.
