Council pools
There are 22 Brisbane City Council swimming pools across the city offering opportunities for fun, fitness and recreation. Visit a Council pool to cool off, relax, enjoy water play or improve your fitness with a few laps.
Pools are owned by Council, but managed by private operators who can assist with information about the facilities and activities offered. Pool facilities differ between venues and pool open hours may vary between venues and seasons. View individual pool pages for detailed information.
Queensland Government Companion Card
All Council pools honour the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free entry for anyone accompanying a person with a disability who requires attendant care support.
Water safety
As the weather warms up and more people head to pools to cool down, it's important to keep water safety front of mind. Be alert, supervise your children around water at all times, learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and follow the pool's conditions of entry.
Council endorses the Royal Life Saving Society's Keep Watch program which aims to prevent children drowning.
