Come and experience a little of Brisbane's history in this 1950s Olympic-standard pool and diving pool complex. Find information below on Centenary Pool opening times, fees, pool events and more. The pool is open all year round but the dive and wade pools are closed during the winter season.

Upcoming pool closures

Due to swimming carnival events, the 50m pool will be closed to the public on the following dates:

Sunday 28 April, 12.30-4.30pm
Sunday 19 May, 12.30-4.30pm
Sunday 9 June, 12.30-4.30pm

The dive, Learn to Swim, and splash pools will remain open to the public during these times.

A person must be 14 years old to use the Health Club. People under 16 years of age must still be accompanied by a supervising person 18 years of age or older.

Conditions of entry

Children 10 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a supervising person 18 years of age or older. Parents with children five years and under must be in the water with their child within arms reach at all times.

'Concession' means the holder of a Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink or a Gold Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

All Council pools now honour the Queensland Government Companion Card, allowing free entry for anyone accompanying a person with disability who requires attendant care support.

When by the pool with kids, Keep Watch @ Public Pools recommends:

for zero-five year olds and non-swimmers, a parent or guardian be in the water at all times within arms' reach of the child/non-swimmer
for six-10 year olds, constant active supervision by a parent or guardian. Be prepared to get wet and enter the water with this age group
for 11-14 year olds, parents or guardians physically check on children on a regular basis.
