What works are coming up?

As part of the Moggill Road Corridor Upgrade, Stage 1 - Indooroopilly Roundabout Upgrade day and night works will start across the construction site in January 2022.

When will this work take place?

Start From 10 January 2022
Time and day

 

Day works will be carried out Monday to Saturday from 7am to 6pm

Night works will be carried out Sunday to Thursday from 7.30pm to 5.30am

To ensure the safety of motorists and road workers and to minimise traffic disruptions, some work is required to be undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lowest.

What does the work include?

The following works will be undertaken:

  • saw cutting
  • trenching
  • vacuum excavation
  • site establishment.

Where will the work be?

Works will be conducted across the entire site, including Station Road, Stanley Street, Vincent Street, Moggill Road, Manchester Terrace, Coonan Street and Waverley Road.

How might this work impact me?

In addition to reduced speed limits across the construction site, the following changes will apply:

Moggill Road:

  • Night works lane closures.

Moggill Road Service Road (commercial):

  • Night works restricted access.
  • Changes to parking hours.

Coonan Street:

  • Reduced to single lane northbound approaching the roundabout.

Keating Street:

  • Permanent removal of right hand turns into and out of Keating Street.
  • Left hand turn into Keating Street maintained with changed traffic conditions.

Nelson Parade:

  • Permanent closure of Nelson Parade at Moggill Road.
  • Minor vegetation removal.

Waverley Road:

  • Night works lane closures.

Payne Street:

  • Temporary closure of Payne Street at Moggill Road.

Manchester Road and Vincent Street:

  • Day works lane closures.

Stamford Road, Station Road and Stanley Street near Moggill Road intersections:

  • Day works lane closures.
  • Night works lane closures.

Underhill Avenue:

  • Temporary reduction of on-street parking.
  • Restricted access at northern end of Underhill Avenue.
  • Minor vegetation removal.

What to expect?

  • Traffic control: reduced speed limits, lane closures, changes to traffic flow and short-term traffic disruptions.
  • Noise and dust: noise and possible dust and vibration may be experienced from the construction activities.
  • Temporary lighting: Lighting towers will be used to light work areas at night.
  • Access: Impacted stakeholders will be contacted regarding any property access changes.
  • Traffic delays:  plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
