Logan Road congestion project - Greenslopes

Link copied

We've completed some minor upgrades on Logan Road at Plimsoll Street to make your trip faster and safer.

Council's Congestion Busting program improves the performance of Brisbane’s road network. It helps people get home sooner and safer on busy roads.

We choose project locations by looking at things like safety, visibility, and how they’ll improve the overall traffic flow.

This project included:

  • extending the right turn lane from Logan Road into Plimsoll Street by cutting into the existing centre traffic island
  • laying new pavement in the extending turning lane
  • painting new line marking, including a yellow no stopping line on the
    south-western side of Logan Road.

We've removed on-street parking in the spaces marked with a yellow no stopping line. This is to ensure the lane is wide enough for traffic to pass safely. It also creates more space for cyclists.
