Link copied

We're constructing a new section of road between Railway Parade and Saint Achs Street in Nudgee to improve safety and connectivity.

This project will include:

  • constructing a new section of road to connect Railway Parade to Saint Achs Street
  • installing a new pedestrian crossing point and new kerb ramps on Saint Achs Street
  • installing yellow no stopping lines on Railway Street and Saint Achs Street to improve sightlines for road users
  • realigning the kerb at the intersection of Sheldon Street and Railway Parade
  • extend the footpath network to create a link between Sheldon Street and Saint Achs Street.
  • install landscaping, installation of lighting, signage and line marking within the project area.

  • Mid-May 2025: Construction is anticipated to start.
  • Late 2025: Proposed end of construction.

If you live in or are travelling through the area you may notice:

  • increased noise, dust, vibration and vehicles while works are underway
  • changed traffic conditions including reduced speed limits
  • traffic management and signage, to direct people walking, riding and driving through the area.

The no stopping lines on Saint Achs Street and Railway Street are required to be extended to provide appropriate sightlines for road users.
