When to request vehicle access to parkland

You must apply for vehicle access to Council parkland to:

  • vehicle access through the park
  • carry out construction work within the park
  • access stormwater/sewer within the park
  • access private property
  • parking of vehicles within parkland.

What you need to provide
1 Contact details

Provide your contact details, including:

  • name
  • phone number
  • postal address. 
2 Application information

You must supply:

  • location details, including the park, suburb and location within the park
  • the type of activity you’re requesting access for (e.g. construction within the park, access to private property, etc.)
  • the reason for the access eg tree removal in private property, sewer upgrade, site compound for construction at neighbouring address
  • the dates and times access will be required
  • vehicle details, including the registration number, registration state and vehicle type
  • an aerial site map showing the travel path and working area if required
  • a copy of your Public Liability insurance of minimum 20 million dollars.

If works are on behalf of Council, provide name of Council contact.

Yes, you can change the dates on your application after it has been submitted.

Email Council with your new dates and quote the reference number that was provided on your form submission. We will reissue any consent for the new dates. 

 

Yes. Once you have been granted consent, it can be extended for a maximum of 12 months in total. 

Email Council to advise of the extention request. You may need to provide additional Public Liability Insurance if the extention dates exceed the insurance end date.
