Propose new traffic light infrastructure, audio tactile devices or changes to existing traffic lights, signals or signal timings.

Types of traffic light infrastructure you can propose

You can request Council investigate:

  • installation of new traffic lights at an intersection where no existing traffic light infrastructure exists
  • installation of audio tactile devices where a signalised crossing already exists
  • changes to existing traffic lights, signals, signal timings, control boxes, pit boxes and pit lids.

What you need to provide
1 Issue details

You need to:

  • provide information about the type of issue you're reporting
  • let us know if the issue is a public safety concern
  • upload photos of the issue (optional).
2 Location information

Provide the location of the issue including:

  • street number and name
  • suburb
  • postcode.
3 Contact details (optional)

You can provide your contact details such as:

  • name
  • phone number
  • email address.

Council will investigate the proposal, including assessment of safety issues and inspection of the area.

Investigations may take up to 6 weeks, due to the type of information that needs to be gathered and analysed to make the decision.
